Our 2010 Tree Find

Today was the day to go find our Christmas Tree. We tried a new place called Whispering Pines in Oconto. I think we'll be going back there next year. It was so organized and fun for the kids.

With lots of trees to pick from, lots of walking around, and lots of discussing which one is the best.... we FOUND one! Tom figured the tree was 11 feet tall.


For some reason I didn't get pictures, but after cutting the tree down, we (and the tree) were picked up by a horse drawn wagon that brought us through the tree farm and ended at the shaking and wrapping area.
Here is a picture of our tree on the shaker. The kids loved this part. While waiting for your tree to get groomed, you could visit Santa Claus in his work shop and enjoy a free cup of hot chocolate. You could also purchase popcorn, hot dogs and soda. Overall this was a neat experience.
