Boulder Lake Camping

July 13th - July 16th.

We never doubt having fun camping at Boulder Lake with the LeTourneau family. We had so much fun last year we ended up reserving the same two sites this year. We headed up on a Tuesday afternoon and stayed to Friday morning. Both families normally rent pop-up campers from VanBoxtel, but this year.... Tom and I weren't able to get one. Those LeTourneaus got the LAST one for the week. So luckily, one of Tom's co-workers had one, and let us borrow it for the week. Wednesday being our first full day, we had plans for my Mom, Dad and Breven to come up for the day. We were anticipating some severe storms to come through our area. So before my parents got there, Tom and Scott used trees, rope and tarp to "shield" the area. As soon as my parents arrived we went to the beach for about an hour until the storms headed in. Wednesday was a pretty rough night. Our camper started leaking, branches were falling, the lighting/thunder scared not only us but the kids as well, and.... the wind took our tarp and caused us to be hostage in our trailers for the evening. Thank God for DS games, coloring books and movies. After a restless night sleep, we woke up to a beautiful sunny day.

There was this cute little bird that hung out on our camp site. Nathan and Madie thought it would be fun to make him a "house".

Our first night. Watching a movie before bed!

Trying to get in as much fun for little B as we could before the storms came.

Before the down pour started. By the end of the night... the trailer on the right had tarp above it and on the pull out beds.

Snuggled up watching a movie. They did pretty good for being in a 12 foot camper for about four hours

ahhhhh, a beautiful sunny day at the beach
